kwaad bloed vzw was founded in 2000 by Patrick Sterckx (wp Zimmer), Frederik Verrote (P.A.R.T.S.) and Carine Meulders (Beursschouwburg).
This structure had as a purpose to produce, support and distribute the choreographic work of Ugo Dehaes and Charlotte Vanden Eynde.

In 2005 kwaad bloed vzw was reorganized : the board-members changed to Leen Hammenecker, An Lombaerts and Kim Van den Heuvel.
From then on, kwaad bloed vzw wants to produce and support the work of a wider variety of artists, and will function more as a label.
Ugo Dehaes was appointed as the artistic director.

2002 : coupure (moving sculpture (permanent) in Brugges by Ugo Dehaes)
2002 : ROEST (choreography by Ugo Dehaes)
2003 : MAP ME (choreography by Charlotte Vanden Eynde)
2003 : I HAVE BEEN (video- and dance installation by Ugo Dehaes)
2004 : Rozenblad (choreography for children by Ugo Dehaes, with laika vzw)
2005 : Beginnings/Endings (choreography by Charlotte Vanden Eynde)
2006 : Couple-like (choreography by Ugo Dehaes and Keren Levi)
2008 : FORCES (choreography by Ugo Dehaes)
2009 : La Forêt (direction by Stéphane Arcas)
2011 : WOMEN (choreography by Ugo Dehaes)

Most of this pieces were honored with a project-subvention by the Flemish Government, and have been invited to the top theaters in Belgium (Kaaitheater, STUK, Vooruit, Monty, DeSingel, Concertgebouw Brugge, ...) and the rest of Europe (Tanzquartier Vienna, ImpulzTanz Vienna, Hebbel am Ufer Berlin, Springdance Festival Utrecht, Théâtre de la Bastille Paris, Something Raw Amsterdam, Pact-Zollverein Essen, Dança na Cidade Lisbon, ...)

In the near future kwaad bloed vzw will produce new work by Roeland Luyten (music and video) en Stephane Arcas (theatre).
Form 2010 to 2013 Ugo Dehaes is Artist In Residence (AIR) in arts-center STUK in Leuven, Belgium
