Grafted duet is a very physical and yet intimate duet of 20 minutes on being together as a couple. Throughout the dance we see how beautiful it is to rely on a partner, but also how much work it takes to support each other and stick together.
Grafted duet is performed in the middle of the audience, in public spaces as musea and parcs or during dance-festivals in lobbies, halls or outside. The audience is invited to observe the performers from up close. They get a microscopic view on their muscles and the sweat forming on their bodies.
Grafted duet is based on the big dance-performance Grafted, a creation for 4 (dance-)couples that Ugo Dehaes choreographed in 2013.
